1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Avant Surf School ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

Avant Surf School provides online surf education including video tutorials, quizzes, progress tracking, gamification features, and community discussions. Content is for educational purposes only.

3. Accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• One account per person. Multiple accounts may be terminated.
• You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Share, redistribute, or resell course content
• Use automated tools to scrape or download content
• Abuse the referral system (fake accounts, self-referrals, IP manipulation)
• Post harmful, abusive, or illegal content in discussions
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data

5. Referral Program

Our referral program rewards users who invite friends. Credits are earned when a referred user completes signup. We reserve the right to void referral credits earned through abuse, including but not limited to: multiple accounts, disposable emails, or automated signups.

6. Intellectual Property

All course content, videos, illustrations, text, quizzes, and interactive materials are the property of Avant Surf School or its licensors. Your account grants you a personal, non-transferable license to access the content for your own learning.

7. Payments & Subscriptions

Paid subscriptions are processed through Polar.sh. By subscribing, you agree to Polar's terms of service. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled. Refund requests should be directed to privacy@avantsurfschool.com.

8. Disclaimer

Surfing is an inherently risky activity. Our educational content does not replace in-person instruction. We are not liable for injuries or damages resulting from applying techniques learned through our platform. Always surf within your ability level and in safe conditions.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon deletion, we will remove your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via email or site notification.
